There is a Jewish proverb that goes "worries go better with soup" and here you will find some good company for your worries. Food from around NYC, NJ, Vegas, and any where my travels may take me...Enjoy!
“You know that what you eat you are,
But what is sweet now, turns so sour—
We all know Obla-Di-Bla-Da
But can you show me, where you are?”

Here is my first and very successful foray in the kitchen. I miraculously made from scratch spanikopita chicken (chicken stuffed with spinach, onions, garlic, scallions, feta, ricotta) and on the side there is an arugala salad topped with homemade low fat blue cheese dressing. I got the recipe from the most amazing website http://www.skinnytaste.com/ As a satisfied customer, I recommend trying anything that looks interesting to you. (New York, NY)

As for my dabble in the Michelin rated restaurants, this evening I visited Cookshop for a very overpriced dinner. Although I must say, being that I started weight watchers this week, the swordfish was great, but mostly because I was so excited to eat something that I didn’t make myself or microwave. Their bloody mary’s were great - I asked for mine extra spicy without salt (I will never understand people who add salt to their BMs), and it definitely delivered the spicy punch I often look for and never fine. They oysters were very fresh, but my weakness for the evening were the breadsticks with the creme fraishe scaillion dip, outstanding - worth every penny of the entire meal to try that complimentary basket. If for nothing else, these breadsticks and dip are worth a visit to the sit down bar or grab a reservation and have a meal!
Below find my semi-bland but perfectly cooked grilled swordfish with the delicious string beans, and greek yogurt sauce… (New York, NY)

Welcome!
As we embark on a wonderful journey through the scrumptious world of food, I must remind you, I am not an expert - I just have impeccable taste.
So without further Ado, I give you a rather brief view of the past year in food, before we can press on to the present.
The best meal of 2009 resides in a comfortable coastal Rhode Island town, better known as Newport. The meal from the Black Pearl consisted of the perfect bloody mary (most likely a recurring theme on “Not Another Food Blog”) and the best New England Clam Chowder on the eastern seaboard - I suggest taking any seat available or just waiting! (Newport, RI)

Some other less acclaimed, but photo worthy food from 2009 through early 2010:
Fenway Park Italian Sausage… (Boston, MA)

Pastrami from Carnagie Deli (New York, NY)

Calamari and Oysters from the Oldest Restaurant in Boston Union Oyster House (Boston, MA)

Wonderfully meaty Lobster Roll from Pearl (New York, NY)

Generally regarded as a fan favorite, it was not held is such high esteem in my humble opinion. I found this place to be highly overrated, and with that being said, I give you: tuna tartar from Gotham in NYC (New York, NY)

AsSalt n Battery - (fish n chips New York, NY)

A wonderful trip to disney world, lead me to the top of the contemporary hotel to enjoy some non kosher pork tenderloin and fireworks over Cinderella’s castle (Orlando, FL)

Best meal in NYC goes to Perilla, go and try the tasting menu - it will leave you planning your next visit to Top Chef’s restaurant (New York, NY)

At the suggestion of Food Network’s Guy Fieri, a pit stop at Evelyn’s proved to be a tasty treat - but friends of Not Another Food Blog felt it was nothing to go out of your way for, so if you ever find yourself on this dusty rhode - you be your own judge and let us know your thoughts! (Tiverton, RI)

In our very own Hell’s Kitchen, there is a cash only hide out called nook - where you can enjoy dinner or sunday brunch as shown below. If you must choose between one or the other, don’t gamble - but your cash on breakfast. Go early on Saturday or Sunday because it is a nook big enough to only hold a few lucky brunchers.
(New York, NY)

I hope this next photo has a great deal of reoccurrence in some upcoming posts - visits to this NYC Steakhouse are welcomed as frequently as possible. Enjoy steak for 2 or more at Wolfgang’s (and don’t forget the bacon - New York, NY)

Strawberry Shortcake, Cream on top - tell me the name of your Sweatheart…
If you land on “S” it stands for this particular strawberry shortcake sundae. Enjoy before the movies at the Garden State Plaza (Paramus, NJ)

We’ll see you all soon for some reviews of restaurants and food recommendations. I hope you enjoyed your quick overview and sneak peak and what is in store.
